It all started when photographer Laura Izumikawa asked Caroline Cervantes of Oh, Lovestruck Event Design and Styling to join her in creating an editorial photo shoot.

This engagement-to-elopement wedding inspiration is based on a film by Wes Anderson, Moonrise Kingdom, with photographic stylings from Kinfolk Magazine and a team of incredible vendors.

Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, Moonrise Kingdom tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness.
